Born in Chicago and raised partly in India, I have a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences. I love spending time with my family, exploring new places, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.
With 25+ years of experience, I provide therapy for women in a grounded, compassionate space—supporting clients through anxiety, stress, life transitions, and chronic health challenges. I’ve worked in schools, healthcare settings, domestic violence agencies, and private practice, which helps me meet you with both clinical skill and real-world understanding.
My work is culturally responsive, honoring your cultural background, family traditions, and personal values—because those factors shape how we experience mental health, relationships, and stress.
I integrate proven approaches to help you feel more steady, supported, and empowered:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought patterns and reduce anxiety
Mindfulness-based therapy to build emotional awareness, calm, and resilience
Somatic (mind-body) techniques to support nervous system regulation and a stronger mind–body connection
Culture can influence how we cope, communicate, and ask for help. In therapy, I support women navigating:
Intergenerational family dynamics and complex family roles
Balancing cultural expectations and personal needs
Communication and language comfort in relationships and family systems
Cultural stigma around therapy and mental health
This perspective is integrated into every session—alongside CBT, mindfulness, and somatic work—so therapy feels both nurturing and evidence-based.
My goal is to offer women’s therapy that helps you feel heard and supported—not “fixed.” Together, we focus on reconnecting with your strengths, building coping tools, and moving forward with more clarity and confidence.
